Xaxaba Mobile Camp is a basic camp run by the local community. The camp is based on a private island in the heart of the Okavango Delta and moves between three different locations dependent on wildlife activity and water levels.
The Xaxaba Mobile Camp is suitable for a close group of maximum 12 people who will enjoy a rustic and wild experience. Guests stay in basic tents (2.4m x 2.5m in size) with en-suite canvas bathroom, a bucket shower and eco-bush toilet. The tents are set up in an idyllic location. This is not a luxury lodge but a chance to experience a mix of campfire atmosphere, incredible wildlife and community spirit.
Activities of Xaxaba Mobile Camp include guided walks on the island, mokoro excursions in traditional canoes and boat trips. Fishing is optional and it is recommended to bring own fishing gear. A visit to the community village can be organized as well.
