Because of the difficulty of this 6-8-hour trek to the mission, you should be sure to partake in it only if you feel you are truly fit enough to brave the steep slopes and boiling temperatures.

This Morning guests will have breakfast and drive to Arusha this is a good spot to take a day or two off from the safari circuit as it features a temperate climate and lush surrounds. Arusha is located at the base of Mount Meru – on the eastern edge of the Great Rift Valley’s eastern branch.
The city experiences mostly balmy weather due to its location on the hills of Mount Meru. Within close proximity to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, and Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha contains its very own National Park, situated on Mount Meru. The main industry of this area is agriculture.
Producers of huge vegetables and flowers send superb produce to Europe. Arusha has several factories including a brewery, tire, and fibreboard plant as well as a big pharmaceuticals manufacturer. Those who have purchased the optional Serengeti Excursion upgrade will be briefed on what to expect for the upcoming days.

Guest will have early breakfast and drive to Karatu Travellers heading for the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater will inevitably pass through the town of Karatu in the green hills of Tanzania’s northern highlands. Presided over by the towering Ol Deani Volcano, this small, colorful town serves as a popular overnight stop for visitors exploring the area’s many game parks.
The town offers a variety of activities including browsing the bustling marketplace, sampling beer at a local brewery, visiting a traditional Iraqw homestead, or taking a guided walk through the Ngorongoro Forest in search of waterfalls and elephants caves.

The next morning, guests will rise early and will be collected for our excursion to the Ngorongoro Crater. We will spend the day exploring the crater and discovering the animals who roam the plains. We make our way back to Karatu in the afternoon.
