With its sculpted gardens and manicured lawn, the signs are all good on the way into the well-looked-after Chimwemwe Lodge.

The chalets have pleasingly high thatched roofs, giving them an airy feel when it’s hot outside. It’s a little gem in this nondescript little town. The restaurant here prepares local cuisine too at reasonable prices, including game meat.

Wildlife Camp offers a much-needed niche for everyone who is enthusiastic about wildlife, South Luangwa National Park, and Zambia – at an affordable rate. At the camp, there are rustic en-suite chalets, a secluded en-suite tented camp, a Bushcamp for overnight walking safaris, and a stunning campsite, all situated on the banks of the Luangwa River.

Wildlife Camp is situated on land owned by the Wildlife and Environmental Conservation Society of Zambia (WECSZ). The camp operates under their auspices and pays a lease to the WECSZ, which in return supports the wildlife and people of the Luangwa Valley and Zambia.

Known as ‘The Lake of Stars’, the natural beauty of Lake Malawi draws travelers from around the globe. It has more species of fish than any other freshwater lake in the world, boasting over 600 species of fish in the Lake Malawi National Park alone.

With a depth of 700 meters, it is incredibly deep with its lowest point reaching more than 200 meters below sea level. Visitors can look forward to spotting a myriad of wildlife in and around the lake including, hippos, crocodiles, fish eagles, and over 1000 species of brightly colored endemic

You can laze around at the pool at your accommodation, snorkel or swim in Lake Malawi. There are a variety of optional activities on offer here. The following morning, we make our way north and spend another night on the banks of Lake Malawi where you will enjoy a magnificent sunset over the lake.

On this beautiful day guest will The death of this remarkable explorer revived the desire in other missionaries to come to Malawi and, after they finally finished setting up missions in various malaria-ridden areas, they constructed a malaria-free mission in the highlands of the eastern escarpment, aptly named Livingstone.

This mission is still operational today and is open to visitors willing to embark on a strenuous hike in order to reach it. Because of the difficulty of this 6-8-hour trek to the mission, you should be sure to partake in it only if you feel you are truly fit enough to brave the steep slopes and boiling temperatures.

It was once a major trading port, the capital of German East Africa, and it served as a stopover for slave and ivory caravans who traveled from Lake Tanganyika to Zanzibar.

Today it is a hub for traditional dhow building and is known for its arts, culture, and fascinating history.

This Morning guests will have breakfast and drive to Arusha this is a good spot to take a day or two off from the safari circuit as it features a temperate climate and lush surrounds. Arusha is located at the base of Mount Meru – on the eastern edge of the Great Rift Valley’s eastern branch.

The city experiences mostly balmy weather due to its location on the hills of Mount Meru. Within close proximity to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, and Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha contains its very own National Park, situated on Mount Meru. The main industry of this area is agriculture.

Producers of huge vegetables and flowers send superb produce to Europe. Arusha has several factories including a brewery, tire, and fibreboard plant as well as a big pharmaceuticals manufacturer. Those who have purchased the optional Serengeti Excursion upgrade will be briefed on what to expect for the upcoming days.

Guest will have early breakfast and drive to Karatu Travellers heading for the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater will inevitably pass through the town of Karatu in the green hills of Tanzania’s northern highlands. Presided over by the towering Ol Deani Volcano, this small, colorful town serves as a popular overnight stop for visitors exploring the area’s many game parks.

The town offers a variety of activities including browsing the bustling marketplace, sampling beer at a local brewery, visiting a traditional Iraqw homestead, or taking a guided walk through the Ngorongoro Forest in search of waterfalls and elephants caves.

The next morning, guests will rise early and will be collected for our excursion to the Ngorongoro Crater. We will spend the day exploring the crater and discovering the animals who roam the plains. We make our way back to Karatu in the afternoon.

On our last day, we rise early in the morning and embark on a hike to the Elephants Cave, exploring the magical forests with the magnificent wildlife.
