Day 1Airport to Lusaka 497.1km

An early start from Victoria Falls and a final glimpse of the falls before driving north to Lusaka passing busy villages, colorful markets, and rural regions. Tonight, we are close to the capital.

 

Day 2 Lusaka To Zambia 416.1km

Accommodation: Chimwemwe Lodge, Campsite, Zambia / Similar

Today guests will get breakfast and drive to Zambia this unique, peanut-shaped country, once known as Northern Rhodesia, offers visitors an authentic African experience complete with adrenalin pumping adventure sports, a variety of fascinating cultural activities, and an abundance of indigenous wildlife, which finds refuge in Zambia’s vast national parks. Spend your evenings enjoying the spectacular site of the world’s largest waterfall, the Victoria Falls, while sipping on sundowners after an exhilarating day of whitewater rafting down the rapids of the mighty Zambezi River.

With its sculpted gardens and manicured lawn, the signs are all good on the way into the well-looked-after Chimwemwe Lodge. The restaurant here prepares local cuisine too at reasonable prices, including game meat.

Day 3 Zambia to Luangwa National Park 176.5

Accommodation: Wildlife Camp, South Luangwa National Park / Similar

Guest will have the last breakfast prepared over the open fire and then you will get onto the motorboat back to Kiambi Lodge. You will be driven to Lusaka for your flight with ProFlight from Lusaka to Mfuwe at around midday. The pickup is arranged with Flatdogs Camp. After checking in and a bit of time to relax you will go out on your first game drive in South Luangwa. Accommodation in Twin/Double Chalets at Flatdogs Camp

Day 4South Luangwa National Park

Accommodation: Wildlife Camp, South Luangwa National Park / Similar

This Morning Guest will have breakfast and go on a Game drive and will be back before lunch and in the afternoon go on a walk. Wildlife includes hippos, crocodiles, and over 400 species of birds, elephants, and large herds of buffalo. Thornicroft’s giraffe and Cookson’s wildebeest can be spotted plus healthy populations of wild dogs.

Wildlife Camp offers a much-needed niche for everyone who is enthusiastic about wildlife, South Luangwa National Park, and Zambia – at an affordable rate. At the camp, there are rustic en-suite chalets, a secluded en-suite tented camp, a Bushcamp for overnight walking safaris, and a stunning campsite, all situated on the banks of the Luangwa River. Wildlife Camp is situated on land owned by the Wildlife and Environmental Conservation Society of Zambia (WECSZ). The camp operates under their auspices and pays a lease to the WECSZ, which in return supports the wildlife and people of the Luangwa Valley and Zambia.

 

Day 5 South Luangwa National Park to Lake Malawi 495.2km

Guest will have breakfast and today head to Lake Malawi is the crowning jewel of this beautiful country. It is one of the largest, longest, and deepest freshwater lakes in the world. Known as ‘The Lake of Stars’, the natural beauty of Lake Malawi draws travelers from around the globe. It has more species of fish than any other freshwater lake in the world, boasting over 600 species of fish in the Lake Malawi National Park alone.

Day 6 South Luangwa National Park

On this beautiful day, guests will have an early breakfast and go on go on a game drive around Lake Malawi which is 590-kilometer-long and 85 kilometres wide Lake is the third-largest lake in Africa, occupying one-fifth of Malawi’s total area. With a depth of 700 meters, it is incredibly deep with its lowest point reaching more than 200 meters below sea level. Visitors can look forward to spotting a myriad of wildlife in and around the lake including, hippos, crocodiles, fish eagles, and over 1000 species of brightly colored endemic

Guest will have breakfast and visit a local village today near our accommodation with our guide. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and enjoy the magnificent views and sounds of Lake Malawi. You can laze around at the pool at your accommodation, snorkel or swim in Lake Malawi. There are a variety of optional activities on offer here. The following morning, we make our way north and spend another night on the banks of Lake Malawi where you will enjoy a magnificent sunset over the lake. Your guide will help you plan your activities for days ahead or you can simply take time out and to relax on the shore

Day 8 Chitimba

Accommodation: Maji Zuwa Water & Sun Resort, Chitimba / Similar

On this beautiful day guest will The death of this remarkable explorer revived the desire in other missionaries to come to Malawi and, after they finally finished setting up missions in various malaria-ridden areas, they constructed a malaria-free mission in the highlands of the eastern escarpment, aptly named Livingstone. This mission is still operational today and is open to visitors willing to embark on a strenuous hike in order to reach it. Because of the difficulty of this 6-8-hour trek to the mission, you should be sure to partake in it only if you feel you are truly fit enough to brave the steep slopes and boiling temperatures.

Day 9 Chitimba To Iringa

Accommodation: Kisolanza Farm, Iringa / Similar

The guest will have breakfast and Depart from Malawi to Tanzania. We ascend out of the Great Rift Valley through some remarkable mountain passes, passing enormous tea plantations in the highlands before eventually arriving at our stop in Iringa.

Day 11Mikumi National Park to Stone Town 389km

On this day guests will wake up early and drive from Mikumi to the Port of Dar es salaam where we climb aboard a local ferry that transports us to Zanzibar. Our home for the following three nights. Stone Town offers a variety of activities and is the perfect stop to enjoy the beaches. Stone Town Situated on the beautiful island of Zanzibar, Stone Town is the old city and cultural heart of the island and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is famous for its winding alleys fringed by grand architecture, bustling bazaars, sultan’s palace, mosques, the House of Wonders, gardens, and the extravagant merchants’ houses with their remarkably ornate doors. Stone Town is home to over fifty mosques, six Hindu Temples, a Catholic, and an Anglican Cathedral.

Day 12-13Stone Town to Nungwi

Today guests will have leisure time to explore Zanzibar trades in spices and raffia and has a flourishing tourism industry. In addition to this, Zanzibar is also home to the extremely endangered species of the Red Colobus Monkey. The word ‘Zanzibar’ was derived from the Persian term ‘zing-bar’ meaning ‘coast of the blacks’ however, it is believed that the name could have also originated from the Arabic ‘Zayn Z’al Barr’ meaning ‘fair is this land. ‘Zanzibar’ frequently refers specifically to Unguja Island and is sometimes referred to as the Spice Islands,

Today guests will have breakfast and drive to Bagamoyo situated a stone’s throw away from the idyllic island of Zanzibar, on Tanzania’s beautiful coastline, the town of Bagamoyo lies within the UNESCO-listed Bagamoyo District. It was once a major trading port, the capital of German East Africa, and it served as a stopover for slave and ivory caravans who traveled from Lake Tanganyika to Zanzibar. Today it is a hub for traditional dhow building and is known for its arts, culture, and fascinating history.

Travellers Lodge Bagamoyo is situated on a gentle curve on a long, white sand beach in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. Accommodation consists of beach cottages and a campground. Day 15Bagamoyo to USA River 550.9km

Accommodation: Meru Mbega Lodge, USA River / Similar

This Morning guests will have breakfast and drive to Arusha this is a good spot to take a day or two off from the safari circuit as it features a temperate climate and lush surrounds. Arusha is located at the base of Mount Meru – on the eastern edge of the Great Rift Valley’s eastern branch. The city experiences mostly balmy weather due to its location on the hills of Mount Meru. Within close proximity to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, and Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha contains its very own National Park, situated on Mount Meru. The main industry of this area is agriculture. Producers of huge vegetables and flowers send superb produce to Europe. Arusha has several factories including a brewery, tire, and fibreboard plant as well as a big pharmaceuticals manufacturer. Those who have purchased the optional Serengeti Excursion upgrade will be briefed on what to expect for the upcoming days.

Day 16USA River to Karatu 197.2km

Guest will have early breakfast and drive to Karatu Travellers heading for the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater will inevitably pass through the town of Karatu in the green hills of Tanzania’s northern highlands. Presided over by the towering Ol Deani Volcano, this small, colorful town serves as a popular overnight stop for visitors exploring the area’s many game parks. The town offers a variety of activities including browsing the bustling marketplace, sampling beer at a local brewery, visiting a traditional Iraqw homestead, or taking a guided walk through the Ngorongoro Forest in search of waterfalls and elephants caves.

Day 17Karatu

The next morning, guests will rise early and will be collected for our excursion to the Ngorongoro Crater. We will spend the day exploring the crater and discovering the animals who roam the plains. We make our way back to Karatu in the afternoon.

Day 18 Karatu

Accommodation: Kudu Lodge, Karatu campsite / Similar

On our last day, we rise early in the morning and embark on a hike to the Elephants Cave, exploring the magical forests with the magnificent wildlife. The rest of the day you have some leisure time to partake in a variety of optional activities available here. These activities must be booked directly with the accommodation prior to arrival.

Day 19 Karatu to USA River 179.3km
