Nambwa Campsite is located in the Kwando core area, 14 km south of Kongola, in the Zambezi Region (formerly known as the Caprivi strip). The campsite is located on the banks of the Kwando River, where great vistas can be enjoyed. The campsite is a gateway to the rest of the Bwabwata National Park.
Nambwa offers 4 campsites, which are shaded by Jackalberry and Mopane trees. From here, campers can enjoy the river scenes and the wildlife moving through the area. Each campsite has a braai area, and shared kitchen and ablution facilities are available. Water is provided, but no electricity.
Expect local and migrant wildlife, including elephants, to wander through the campsite.
Please note that a 4×4 vehicle is necessary to access Nambwa.
