Itinerary

Day 1Windhoek to Sossusvlei 276km

Accommodation: Desert Camp

Guest will depart in the morning from Windhoek and depart to Sossusvlei area. Along the way guests will have a stop at the next town Rehoboth where the guest will have the opportunity to buy some snacks and a lunch box as the guide will pull over by a big tree around 12h00-13h00 for lunch. After arrival guests will have leisure time before going on a Sundowner drive to Elim dune around 17h30 or 18h00. The next morning guest will have early breakfast and go into the park for Sossusvlei Excursion whereby they will be back around 12h00 for a quick lunch to depart to their next destination.

Day 2Sossuvlei / Sesriem Area

Accommodation: Namib Desert Lodge Gondwana Collection Namibia, Sossusvlei or Similar

Guest will wake up and have breakfast to drive to the Dunes for the Sossuvlei Excursion which includes Deadvlei, Dune 45, Hiddenvlei, and Big Daddy. The tour guide will have regular stops to let clients take pictures and have some exposure to the Dunes. Guest will be back around lunchtime and will have some leisure time for themselves at the pool while the tour guide prepares lunch for them.

At 18h00 the guide will prepare a delicious dinner for the Guest and then set up a campfire where clients will have the opportunity to talk about their experience and have some stargazing.

Overnight: Desert Camp

Desert Camp has situated just 5 km from the entrance gate to Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon in the Namib Nauklauft Park. Nestled under centuries-old camel thorn trees, Desert Camp offers unsurpassed views over the Desert landscapes and surrounding mountains – An absolute must for the nature lover and photographer!

The 28 affordable self-catering accommodation units are equipped with an en-suite bathroom, shaded veranda with a fitted kitchenette, barbeque, power points, and an adjacent parking area. Each air-conditioned room features twin beds and a fold-out sleeper couch to accommodate 2 small children (under 12) free of charge when sharing with 2 full-paying adults. Utility boxes with most utensils needed are available at reception and fresh food supplies can be ordered daily.

Facilities at the main building include a fully stocked and serviced bar with a big-screen television, a sparkling swimming pool, and 2 communal bomas with cooking and wash-up facilities which are perfect for groups traveling together.

Meals can be enjoyed at the nearby Sossusvlei Lodge restaurant and their Adventure Centre offers a range of exciting desert activities to explore the area.

A fully stocked shop, fuel, and an Internet café are available at the Sossus Oasis Service Station.

Day 3Sossusvlei to Swakopmund (402km)

The guest will have a fresh shower after lunch and depart to Swakopmund from Sossusvlei, Swakopmund is the Coastal town of Namibia with cold fresh air. Upon arrival, guests will have time to rest and then refresh themselves for Dinner. The next morning the clients will do Quad Biking before departing.

Day 4Swakopmund to Brandberg 168km

Clients will get early breakfast in the morning and depart from the cold fresh breeze of Swakopmund to Brandberg. Clients will drive along the beautiful landscape to Brandberg and Upon arrival clients will go visit the White Lady Paintings.

Overnight: Brandberg White Lady Camping

Located amidst tranquil surroundings, Brandberg White Lady Camping offers guests a lovely camping experience in Brandberg, Namibia. The establishment features campsites that come equipped with barbeque facilities and water taps. Shared bathrooms with hot and cold water are available. Guests can either cook meals using the barbeque facilities or dine at the nearby lodge restaurant. Other lodge facilities available to campers include a bar and a swimming pool. Guests can also enjoy a variety of guided drives and hiking trails.

 

Day 5Brandberg to Etosha National Park 312

Clients will depart in the morning from Brandberg to Etosha National Park which is situated in the northwest part of Namibia. Clients can catch a glimpse of a variety of wildlife including lions, giraffes, elephants, white and black rhino, and a multitude of plains game. Popular activities include game drives, tracking rhinos on foot, guided nature walks, or watching the sunset over this magnificent landscape. When clients arrive at Etosha National Park clients will depart on the afternoon game drive before dinner.

Overnight: Etosha Safari Lodge Gondwana Collection Namibia

Etosha Safari Lodge is located 10 km south of Andersson Gate on the C 38 (Etosha National Park).

Sip on a drink while watching the ruby sun dip into the mopane woodland. Perched on a hill with expansive views, this stylish lodge offers 65 chalets that provide a peaceful base from which to explore the animal bounty of Etosha National Park. A shuttle service operates between Windhoek and Etosha Safari Lodge and Camp (on request).

Day 6Etosha to Windhoek 414.5km

The guest will have breakfast in the morning and depart to Windhoek. The guest will have lunch in Gosbabis and continue the journey to the Capital City of Namibia. When arriving in Windhoek client will do a City tour and after that have leisure time to explore the capital city. Windhoek is often described as a city with a “continental” atmosphere due to its architecture (historical buildings dating back to the German colonial rule), cuisine, culture, dress, and educational institutions.

Overnight: Arebbusch Travel Lodge

Day 7Windhoek To Ghanzi 526km

Clients will get morning Breakfast and depart to Ghanzi which is Situated 300 kilometers southwest of Maun and just north of the Trans-Kalahari highway, which runs from Lobatse in Botswana to Walvis Bay in Namibia, the small town of Ghanzi is sometimes referred to as the ‘Capital of the Kalahari’. It serves as the administrative centre of the Ghanzi district which covers a vast area of cattle ranches and farmland in the west of Botswana. After arrival clients will visit the San (Bushman) Village

Overnight: Ghanzi Trail Blazers

Ghanzi Trail Blazers caters for visitors who wish to have a genuine glimpse of a fast disappearing unique and ancient culture. It offers several activities to interact with the San Bushman, and to discover how they survived in the Kalahari. Ghanzi Trail Blazers is located approximately 5.6 km away from the main road, far enough away to capture the real African bushveldt.

Day 8Ghanzi to Maun 285.1km

Accommodation: Island Safari Lodge, Campsite, Maun / Similar

Guests will grab early Breakfast and then take a short drive to Island Safari Lodge situated in Maun. After checking in and freshening up In the Afternoon the clients will depart for a Mokoro Excursion (for 2 hours) After this activity clients will get back and the lodge and get ready for Dinner.

Day 9Maun Area

Clients will grab early Breakfast and then go on the game drive. And will be back around lunch and after lunch has free time.

Overnight: Island Safari Lodge

Island Safari Lodge is set on a 300-acre private island reserve and is just 10 km away from Maun Airport. It is situated on the banks of the Thamalakane River under a canopy of beautifully lush and green Okavango trees. The lodge overlooks a floodplain of fields and water that are frequented by an abundance of birdlife and the occasional Hippo. The lodge offers a tranquil bush setting that is complemented by the river view, a pool, and the iconic tranquil call of the African Fish Eagle. The accommodation is comfortable and set in the lodge gardens. The lodge comprises 12 Chalets, 6 Heritage Rooms, and 6 Heritage Family Rooms all with en suite showers, DSTV, and air conditioning. The lodge has a main bar and restaurant area with seating indoors or out in the gardens. You can choose from a la carte menu for lunches and dinners accompanied by our wine list. It is an ideal place to relax alongside flowing waters, or beside one of the swimming pools, using the free WI-FI services and ordering refreshments from the restaurant. For those active bush-loving visitors who are interested in adventure, there are many recreational excursions and opportunities available.

Day 10 Maun to Khwai Community area 125.2km

Accommodation: Khwai Community Area/ Similar

This Morning Clients will freshen up and depart to the Moremi area, which is situated in the east of the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve ranks as one of the most beautiful reserves in Africa. It covers more than 4871 square kilometers of pristine wilderness, and the varied terrain includes savannah, winding waterways, and dense forest. This Area has wildlife that the guest can see on the Game Drive upon arrival in the afternoon.

Day 11 Khwai Comunity Area

Clients will have breakfast and then go on the boat cruise where they will have lunch on the boat cruise.

Overnight: Khwai Mobile Camp

Your journey to the mobile camp in the Khwai Community Area is by light aircraft that departs from Maun Airport and then flies over the Moremi Game Reserve and the Okavango Delta which will give you a wonderful view of how the waters of the Okavango soak into the Kalahari sands that surround this wonder of nature and make it one of the most famous game viewing areas of Africa.

The camp is under the shady trees next to the waters of the Okavango Delta and in the heart of this excellent game viewing area. The mobile camp has all the basic amenities that you will require, the tents are 3 x 4m walk-in safari tents with a high roof and a 3 x 3m en-suite bathroom, and a 2 x 3m covered area in front of the tent. The tents are fitted with solid base camp beds made up of mattresses, sheets, duvets, and pillows. The tents have en-suite long drop toilet facilities and a bucket shower at the rear of the tent. Showers can be ordered as hot, cold or warm and the water is heated in a bucket on the fire. Both hand towels and bath towels are supplied for the guests’ convenience but please note that guests should bring their own personal items and toiletries.

Each tent has an oil/paraffin lamp on the veranda and in the bathroom and within the tent itself, a LED rechargeable camp light is supplied along with a side table in the sleeping area and in the bathroom.

Although each tent has lighting and there are lamps strategically around the camp for navigation, an essential tool for your safari is a headlamp that lets you read a book at night in your tent or catch up with your safari journal as you listen to the sounds of the wild outside!

For safari activities, while there are game drives – night drives and also bush walks. This area is famous for its excellent leopard and wild dog sightings and of course the many antelope and bird species plus the large mammals like elephants and buffalo that are drawn to the waters of the Okavango.

Day 12Khwai Community Area to Chobe River Front 265km

Accommodation: Chobe Game Lodge, Chobe River Front / Similar

Clients will have a game drive throughout Chobe and its beautiful landscape across the challenging Magwikwe Sand point, which was the shoreline of the ancient inland sea, visit the Makgadikgadi Lake. Its deep sand, so in the wet season, it becomes impassable. After arrival clients will check-in and prepare for dinner.

 

Day 13Chobe River Front

Clients will wake up for breakfast and then have a full-day game drive in the Chobe National Park. Expected animals to see are lions, wild dogs, cheetah, leopards, giraffes, bushbucks, blue wildebeests, and huge numbers of hippo.

Clients will return around 17h00 after a long day of game viewing and will have a goodnight’s sleep after a long day.

Overnight: Chobe Game Lodge

Counter-balancing the wilderness is restful, air-conditioned, en-suite lodgings. Graceful high arches, quarry tiled floors, and barrel-vaulted ceilings create an atmosphere of cool tranquillity.

Other facilities include a large swimming pool with a terrace, a riverside boma area, a stylish bar with an outside terrace, an expansive deck offering magnificent views over the Chobe River as well as conference facilities for business travelers. All meals are catered for in various locations throughout the lodge including the terrace, boma, and riverfront deck.

Each of Chobe Game Lodge’s 4 luxury suites has an individual plunge pool set on a private terrace with breathtaking panoramic views of the endless landscape and open plains. Graceful high arches, quarry tiled floors, and barrel-vaulted ceilings create an atmosphere of cool tranquillity. All 46 rooms are tastefully furnished, each room with hand-crafted Rhodesian teak furniture and walls decorated with original African carvings and paintings.

Day 14 Chobe To Victoria Falls 185.9km

Accommodation: Victoria Falls Rest Camp, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Clients will depart from Chobe to Victoria Falls which is in the largest water Fall in the world Resting on the southern banks of the Zambezi River at the western end of the eponymous falls, this popular tourist town is compact enough to walk around and makes an ideal base for travelers exploring the seventh wonder of the world, the unfathomably vast Victoria Falls. After arrival clients will go on the game drive and get back for dinner.

 

 

Day 15Victoria Falls area

Clients will have early breakfast and have a visit to Victoria falls and get back before lunch and after lunch has some leisure time for themselves.

Overnight: Victoria Falls Rest Camp

Victoria Falls Self Catering and Camping Accommodation at the Vic Falls Restcamp is the best budget accommodation available in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The Rest Camp is situated right in the middle of Victoria Falls town in Zimbabwe making it a perfect place to be based with all amenities within walking distance. The Restcamp is only 2 km from the falls making it the closest campsite to Victoria Falls.
