Upon arrival at Victoria Falls International Airport, you will be picked up for your transfer to Matobo, a 5hr 30 Min ride on tarred road. After a long road drive, you will arrive at the lodge for overnight and dinner.

On this day you will have a Continental or Full English Breakfast at Lodge. You may want to spend some time in the hide before you check out and depart at 10 am. You will be picked up for your transfer out to Matobo Hills, drive through Bulawayo, and onto Matobo Hills. You will arrive in the early afternoon and may decide to do one of the activities on offer or relax and then later have drinks while you chill and watch the sunset over the hills before dinner.

On this full-day at Matobo Hills, you have a choice from various activities which include game viewing or rhino tracking, a visit to Worlds’ View/Rhodes Grave, game walk, sundowner drive, and cultural activities which includes visiting the famous San rock art galleries in the mountain caves. These are the highest concentrations of rock art found anywhere in the world. These activities are not included and are best arranged at check-in with your hosts.

On this day, you will have your breakfast at Amalinda Lodge, and then you will be picked up for your drive out to Hwange. After arrival at Ivory Lodge, check into your room and have lunch. The rest of your afternoon is at your leisure, but spending some time in the private safari hide overlooking the salt lick and waterhole is highly recommended. Later, you will be taken on a game drive on the 6000-acre concession which will be concluded with sundowner drinks and snacks overlooking the Date vlei. To follow, you will be driven back to camp after sunset for the opportunity to spot some nocturnal animals. A 3-course dinner will be served at the Captain’s Table.

Early morning coffee and teas will be served at the camp followed by a guided safari game drive in the morning. Brunch will be served upon your return from the game drive then you will have a few hours at leisure to lay poolside or relax in your room. In the afternoon, you’ll repeat the morning’s activities with teas and coffees followed by a safari game drive. In the evening, dinner will be served at the camp.

Starting your day six Hwange Safari with us, you will be collected from Ivory Lodge and transferred by road to Date Railway Station, where you will board Imvelo’s Elephant Express for a ride down the railway line to Ngamo Siding, while on the Elephant Express you will be treated to game viewing along the way. After game viewing, you will back to the lodge for rest and overnight with dinner.

Day seven, you will be spending there at Hwange. You will have your early morning breakfast at the same lodge. After that, you will start your game drive. It is the home to more than 100 species of mammals and some 400 different types of birds, making it one of the most diverse game parks in the world. Packs of painted wild hunting dogs, buffalo, lions, and leopards call Hwange home, as well as one of the largest elephant herds on earth.

You will depart after breakfast and head to the most beautiful area of Zimbabwe, the Eastern Highlands. You will have a delicious lunch and head back to the airport for your Home back and there your trip will be an end.
