Day 1 Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Nairobi

Guest will be picked up at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and depart to Nairobi which is situated in along the Nairobi River in beautiful Kenya, the capital of Nairobi is East Africa’s most cosmopolitan city.

It serves as an excellent starting point for African safari trips around Kenya. Nairobi is Africa’s 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place, and although it has developed a reputation that keeps tourist visits brief, there are some fascinating attractions.

 

A complex of tented camps surrounded by lush greenery in the suburb of Lang’ata, Nairobi, Wildebeest Eco Camp is situated close to Nairobi National Park as well as the area’s shopping, dining and entertainment venues.

Accommodation options include tented camps and cottages. Guests can make use of the free Wi-Fi, flush toilets, hot showers, an infinity swimming pool, a bar, a restaurant, and a lounge with DSTV. Local attractions include Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Karen Blixen House & Museum, AFEW Giraffe Centre, and The National Museum.

Day 2Nairobi To Mount Kenya 138 Km

Guest will be picked up at their accommodation at 09h00 hours and drive through lush coffee and tea plantations to the Serena Mountain Lodge in the Mount Kenya region. Guest will have amazing views of the wildlife right at your door as they are driving on the road.

Mount Kenya is rising up from the heart of the Kenyan landscape, the snow-capped Mount Kenya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is Africa’s second-highest mountain reaching an impressive 5199 meters in height, which is an awe-inspiring sight.

Visitors can explore its surrounding forests, trout-filled streams and game reserve; or for the more adventurous, summit the peak. While Mount Kilimanjaro is an easier climb, Mount Kenya is more of a challenge as it has a higher technical difficulty, however, Point Lenana can be easily reached by a fit hiker.

Overnight: Mt Kenya Meru Banda

Is a lush indigenous forest at the foothills of Mt. Kenya. Azure pools glisten at the bottom of waterfalls and 200-year-old trees stretch into the canopy supporting a rich variety of bird and animal life. The forest is a vital corridor that links the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy to Mount Kenya, and one which elephants have been using for centuries.

 

Day 3 Mount Kenya To Laikipia 81.7 Km

This morning guests will have breakfast and drive to Laikipia Sandwiched between Mount Kenya and the northern deserts, Laikipia is where Kenya’s wild and semi-arid northern frontier country begins.

The region is made up of privately owned and community ranches centered around the Laikipia National Reserve. Known as one of Kenya’s best safari areas, the high plains of Laikipia feature vast open stretches of African savanna scattered with abundant game

Overnight: Ol-Tome Laikipia Camp

 

Day 4 Laikipia Area

Guest will wake up to a nice breakfast and will immerse in authentic Masai culture as you interact with the local Masai women who founded this project with an aim to provide income for the local women and a unique and authentic experience for visitors while fostering respect and understanding of the local environment and culture.

Guest will enjoy traditional dances and songs, find water, and learn how to bead. Learn about men’s traditional activities including making fire with sticks, playing bao, and fashioning arrows.

Participate in a goat roast with songs and ancient traditional stories around the campfire as you wind down the night. Local traditional brew/beer can be organized on request.

Overnight: Ol-Tome Laikipia Camp

Ol-Tome Laikipia Camp is situated in the Laikipia North district, within a conservancy that boasts a diversity of fauna and flora.

The camp is nestled on the banks of the mighty Ewaso Nyiro River, in abundant bush and shrubs bustling with birdlife.

With superb views in every direction, coupled with a unique design and built from local materials, Ol-tome Laikipia camp offers the traveler an opportunity to experience the flavor and romance of the African bush.

 

Day 5Laikipia to Lake Naivasha (255.8 km)

Accommodation: Camp Carnelley’s, Lake Naivasha / Similar

The guest will wake up to a nice breakfast and depart to Lake Naivasha.

Lake Naivasha is the highest of the Great Rift Valley Lakes and despite having no outlet, it is one of only two Rift Valley freshwater lakes.

This beautiful lake is fringed by papyrus and acacia trees, a unique geologic landscape, and supports a vast array of over 450 bird species.

It serves as the main drinking hole for wildlife in the area such as zebra, eland, hippo, waterbuck, buffalo, and much more. After arrival guests will take in views of the lake and its famous flamingo population.

Overnight: Camp Carnelley’s

Day 6 Lake Naivasha

The guest will wake up to a nice breakfast and will walk to the park. This park has some of the most spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub-clad volcanoes, and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa.

There are a variety of activities that you can enjoy in this park including mountain bike cycling, hiking, guided nature walks, photography, and bird watching.

The adrenalin junkies can also interest themselves on a rock climb to the Fishers Tower which is the highest point in the park. The tour guide will also take you to the visit of gorges and caves which make up the park’s history.

The Ol Karia Geothermal Spa is also a great way to wind down the day as you dip yourself into the medicinal natural hot spa. After the tour, you are transferred back to your camp where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Overnight: Camp Carnelley’s

Carnelley’s is a tranquil campsite with beautiful bushy grounds. The monkeys swing from the trees and the hippos graze on the pier. Over the years Camp Carnelley’s has become a popular location on Lake Naivasha.

It’s not just a campsite, there’s also accommodation, the Lazybones Bar and restaurant, onsite activities and activities located right beside the camp.

Day 7Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara (287.7 km)

Guest will drive in the morning at 9:00 am to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. You will have the opportunity to enjoy your lunch on your way and arrive in time for an evening game drive.

The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve.

The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomizes Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further.

The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara National Reserve is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at a camp

Day 8 Masai Mara area

Guest will wake up to a nice breakfast and then proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills.

The reserve is the best park for game viewing in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network that allows for close-range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch by the hippo pool, looking out for resident hippos and crocodiles. Your dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

Overnight: Fisi Camp

Fisi Camp is a small family-run campsite, offering budget camping but with the luxury of en-suite facilities, including flush toilets, hot water for the shower, and electricity. All tents have a 6ft verandah where you can relax with a sundowner before taking dinner in the dining area.

Each tent can accommodate 2/3 people with a choice of double, twin, or triple. We cater to both individuals and large groups. At Fisi Camp, you will always be sure of a warm welcome and personal attention. They hope to make your stay a memorable one.

Day 9 Masai Mara To Loita Hills 98.3km

The guest will have breakfast and then drive to Loita Hills and upon arrival, the guest will go on a guided nature walk to take in the beauty and rolling landscapes of the Loita Hills.

During the walk, you are guided by a Masai warrior who tells you stories about the culture and various practices. This last night serves to compare between the northern Masai communities and the western Masai communities and learn about how their culture differs from the other

Overnight: Maji Moto Eco Camp

Nestled on a hilltop deep in Masai lands and overlooking vast savannah plains, Maji Moto Eco Camp is a small, environmentally-sensitive retreat. Operated by Masai people from the nearby village of Maji Moto, the camp offers the intense natural beauty of the Loita Hills, as well as the ancient culture and knowledge of the Masai.

Maji Moto, in the Loita Hills of southwest Kenya, is a 3-hour drive away from Nairobi, and on the way to the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive from Nairobi includes stunning views from and descent down the Great Rift Valley Escarpment.

Day 10 Loita Hills to Nairobi 119.4 km

Guest wake up and after a nice breakfast, depart for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park and then later drive to Nairobi, enjoying lunch on the route and arriving at your hotel in the evening. This will conclude your safari.
