After your arrival at the Hosea Kutako International Airport approx. 45 km east of Windhoek, you will be welcomed by the car rental company and taken to Windhoek where you will take over your vehicle with all the necessary instructions and information. Afterwards you will drive to your accommodation where you are able to freshen up and rest. In the afternoon you will have time to do some shopping for the next couple of days during the drive you can also get to know historical buildings. In den Besucherbüchern an den Rezeptionen der Restcamps findet man manchmal Hinweise auf interessante Sichtungen von eher seltenen Tierarten wie Leoparden und Raubtierabschüssen.
Je nach Jahreszeit sollte man sich auf die zentralen Teile des Etosha-Nationalparks um Okaukuejo oder das östliche Gebiet um Namutoni konzentrieren, da die größeren Herden und mit ihnen die Raubtiere im Laufe des Jahres zwischen den Gebieten wechseln.
