While a trip to Damaraland may be scheduled at any time of year, there are a select few times of the year when the region’s humid and arid climate make it less than ideal for sightseeing. The months of May through October, during the dry season, are often regarded as the ideal time to explore Damaraland. A lack of precipitation or a very small amount makes it easier to see wildlife since they congregate around watering holes. Damaraland is a great place to go on a safari and enjoy the cool evening air.
From November to March, the weather may be hot and wet. Although you may have a fantastic safari experience in Damaraland any time between October and December, the months of January through April are not recommended.
