Popa Falls Game Park is the smallest game park of Namibia. The park is located on the Okavango River opposite to the Bwabwata National Park.

Popa falls is famed for its pristine setting and sound of the water flowing down the rocky escarpments in the river. Popa Falls has Savannah Biome vegetation, extensive lawns, riverine forest.

It is paradise for bird lovers with over 400 aviary fauna documented in the park. You can spot Slaty Egret, Saddle-billed Stork, Bat Hawk, Western Banded Snake-Eagle, Collared Pratincole and Heuglin’s Robin in the park.

Apart from its rich birdlife you can spot crocodile, hippo, vervet monkey, broad-head catfish and oscillated Spiny Eel.

• Popa falls Game Park is open for visitors throughout the year.
• However, the best time to visit Popa falls is during the dry winter months from June to September.
• You can also visit it from May to August as it has the best weather.

Popa Falls Game Park is located in the Zambezi region of Namibia. It is easily accessible by roadways.

• Popa falls is located 900km from Windhoek, which is usually accessed by car.
• Most trips begin in Windhoek by way of Hosea Kutako International Airport which is located 40kmto the east of the city.
• You can also take charter flights between parks and lodges.
