Itinerary

Day 1Windhoek

Time/ Distance: 35 min (44.7 km)

Welcome to Namibia! We will meet you at Windhoek International Airport and transfer you to your luxurious hotel, where you will have dinner and overnight rest.

Dinner & Overnight at The Olive Exclusive

Day 2 & 3Swakopmund

Time/ Distance: 3 hr 18 min (352.4 km)

A three-hour drive north will reveal a whole new take on Namibia’s beautiful landscapes as the mountains and giant dunes become open plains as you approach the foggy coast and Swakopmund where you will spend the next 2 nights. This is your first taste of that cool Atlantic breeze and fog. With shopping, a good stretch of beach (though the Atlantic here is quite cold), and an open-air curio market, this seaside town makes for a pleasant stop.  Swakopmund is also home to a very good museum and the Namibian National Marine Aquarium.

Accommodation at Wolwedans Boulders Camp

Day 4 & 5Fish River Canyon

Time/ Distance: 12 hr (643 km)

Today, after breakfast, drive to Fish River Canyon. After arriving at the lodge sometime this afternoon you will have the chance to enjoy a sundowner drive or perhaps some walking in the area. The next day you will have a full day to explore the dramatic Fish River Canyon. You may like to arrange some hiking down into the canyon with a guide.

Accommodation at Fish River Lodge

Day 6, 7 & 8Etosha National Park

Time/ Distance: 4 hr 46 min (364.8 km)

The drive to Etosha National Park is a scenic few hours through more of Damaraland’s singular beauty. The Anderssons Gate is much closer to Damaraland and will take about three hours. You will spend three days here at Etosha. It is one of Africa’s greatest parks with good reason. Not only is it scenic and beautiful, but the large numbers of animals also make this a game viewing extravaganza. Keep your eyes peeled. Sit at a waterhole and watch the animals come and go. You’re likely to see numerous species at any given moment.

Enjoy your next two days, a wonderful Big 5 safari tour in the Etosha National Park. It’s world-renowned for its incredible biodiversity and outstanding wildlife and bird sightings, and not forgetting its spectacular salt pans. You can spend the whole day in the Etosha National Park or return mid-day to your lodge to relax and unwind.
