Itinerary

Day 1Arrival In Arusha

A staff member of Safari World Tours will pick you up from the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). From here, you will be driven to a hotel in Arusha and brief you on your upcoming safari. Enjoy a restful night before beginning your adventure tomorrow!

Arusha, also known as “A” Town by the locals, is situated at the foot of Mount Meru, Africa’s 5th highest mountain. The altitude gives the city a pleasant climate and lush green environment. Arusha is not a particularly attractive city in itself and is regarded by many visitors as little more than a necessary stopover before their safari starts in earnest. However, the natural charm of the Tanzanians and the buzz of a fast-growing city mean that Arusha has plenty to offer for those who are prepared to see beyond their air-conditioned safari trucks and satellite-TV-equipped hotel rooms.

Overnight: Ilboru Safari Lodge

Day 2 Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Tarangire National Park. We’ll have some game viewing in the park to maximize your chances of more wildlife viewing. Before sunset, we’ll drive to Sangaiwe Tented Lodge.

Tarangire is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania after Ruaha, Serengeti, Mikumi, Katavi, and Mkomazi. Activities will include a wildlife game drive where you can see pythons climb trees, as well as lions and leopards among others. For the bird lovers, keep an eye for the screeching flocks of colorful Yellow-collared lovebirds, and the somewhat drabber Rufous-tailed weaver and ashy starling. These are all endemic to Me dry savannah of north-central Tanzania.

Overnight: Sangaiwe Tented Lodge
Distance: (106 km)

Time: 2.5 to 3 hours

Day 3Tarangire – Ndutu Area

Accommodation: Serengeti Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp, Ndutu / Similar

Guest will have breakfast and depart to the Serengeti on arrival. The Seronera region, in the central Serengeti, is set directly on the Great Migration route and offers excellent viewing of this incredible annual phenomenon, when countless wildebeest flood across the plains. Arriving at Serengeti and guests will go on a game drive to the camp.

Meals: Lunch and Dinner

Included Activities: Afternoon Game Drive

Day 4Ndutu - Serengeti Central

The excitement for today will be quite high as you make your way into the most celebrated wildlife park in the world – The Serengeti. After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel in the midst of the never-ending plain grasslands. Serengeti means endless plains in the local African language and watching the grassland stretch out as far as the eye can see and eventually merging with the sky at the horizon is an absolutely breath-taking view. With an overall land area of 14,763 Sq Kms, It puts our notion about the distance to shame. The Serengeti also houses the glorious “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). Along with the “Big 5”, a very pleasant sighting would be one of Africa’s most beautiful animals – The Impala. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa. You must also look out for the Serengeti “Kopjes” which are massive boulders of granite standing in a sea of grass. They provide ample shelter to a large variety of flora and fauna. A picnic lunch will be done during the day-long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Overnight: Serengeti Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp
Distance:91 km

Time: 3 to 3.5 hours

Day 5Serengeti To Ngorongoro

After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. Later depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area with picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Overnight: Endoro Lodge
Distance: 151 km

Time: 3 to 3.5 hour

Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 Hours) To Arusha

On the last day of your safari, you will have an early start. Finishing up with a quick breakfast you will make an early descent at around 6:30 AM into the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq km with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascent to the top exit of the crater. This is the last leg of your safari, with a 4hr drive left to Arusha. You will be dropped off to your preferred location in Arusha by 6:00 PM in the evening. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, this is the time you bid goodbye to your team.

Distance: 154 km

Time: 4 to 4.5 hours
