MOWANI CAMPSITE

Mowani Campsite is situated between the Ugab and Huab River in southern Damaraland, a magnificent and unspoilt wilderness area. A world filled with vast expanses of breathtaking desert scenery, interrupted only by scattered clusters of granite boulders, creating viewpoints and hideouts as unique as Mowani itself. The Camp is located near the Twyfelfontein World Heritage Site.

The campsite is beautifully laid out, spacious, and set between large boulders. There are 7 sites of varying sizes, which are all very private.

Each campsite has a private ablution facility (shower, basin and toilet), a kitchen wash-up area, a standing braai / BBQ, and a shaded area with seating bench.

Subject to availability and only in the Low Season (January – March, June & December), campsite guests may make reservations for meals at the Mowani Mountain Camp. Such reservations can only be made on arrival, and preference is given to Mowani Mountain Camp guests. Unfortunately, Mowani Mountain Camp facilities are not available to campsite guests. Subject to availability and only upon arrival, campsite guests may book nature drives at Mowani Mountain Camp.

Campsite guests are required to bring along their own foodstuffs. Wood and ice are available for sale.
