Waterberg Resort Campsite is situated within the spectacular Waterberg Plateau National Park and offers comfortable camping facilities surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Guests can enjoy excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, hiking trails, and panoramic views of the iconic sandstone plateau.
After an early breakfast you will have a morning plateau hike for 2-3 hours your hiking guide climbs the plateau with you (approx. 150 m above the plains). He explains plants and animals in the park to you and gives you an insight into the daily life and culture of the Herero people living in this area. Terrific view of the valley or of the plains of the Kalahari and in the afternoon nature trail whereby you explore the valley of the nature reserve “Botanical Garden”. You will dine under the stars and enjoy the romance of the fire until the wildlife calls of the nights fade away and you fall asleep.

Yet there is abundant wildlife that congregates around the waterholes, giving you almost guaranteed game sightings. At the same time, Etosha National Park is one of the most accessible game reserves in Namibia and Southern Africa, the concentration of big games around the waterholes makes game viewing incredibly rewarding. You might not even have to leave your rest camp to see lions, elephants, rhino and any number of antelope and zebra quenching their thirst.
