MATUSADONA NATIONAL PARK

Matusadona National Park is a stunning wilderness area located in the north of Zimbabwe, on the southern shore of Lake Kariba. The park covers an area of over 1,400 square kilometers and features a diverse range of landscapes, including rugged mountains, wooded valleys, and grassy plains. The park is home to a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and several species of antelopes, making it a popular destination for game drives and safaris.

One of the main attractions in Matusadona National Park is Lake Kariba itself, which is one of the largest man-made lakes in the world and offers a range of activities, including fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing. Visitors to the park can also explore several other natural wonders, including the stunning Sanyati Gorge, the beautiful Ume River, and the scenic Chesa Pan, which is known for its birdlife. Matusadona National Park’s remote location and relatively low number of visitors make it an excellent destination for those seeking an authentic African wilderness experience.
