Day 1: Otjitotongwe Cheetah Guest Farm Camping, Kamanjab (456.3km)

Clients depart to Kamanjab and along the way, villages of the Herero people will appear and they will be decorated by women in Victorian dresses and headscarves braided to form cow horns – the Herero symbol. We will spend the night at a farm in Otjitotongwe – a cheetah sanctuary. Namibia is home to most of these beautiful cats, of which there are very few left in the world. Attempts to save this species in Namibia have been successful and within 10 years the population has increased by almost 30%. Watching cheetahs while feeding.

Day 2: Swartbooisdrift Campsite, Ruacana (340km)

Have breakfast and depart to Ruacana where you will be staying for the night. Swartbooisdrift has some historic significance as the place where the Dorsland Trekkers crossed the Kunene River in 1881 to move into Angola. In commemoration of this migratory movement, the Dorsland Trekkers Monument has been erected on a hill just outside the settlement.

Day 3: Epupa Campsite, Epupa Falls (340.8km)

Have an early breakfast and depart to Epupa Falls, today you have the day to enjoy the natural attractions around Epupa Falls.

Day 4: Epupa Campsite, Epupa Falls

Clients have breakfast and enjoy a full day in Epupa, Epupa Falls is known for the semi-nomadic Ovahimba people who live there, as well as other tribes like the Ovatjimba, Ovazemba, and Ovatwa people. Migration to Epupa Falls is constantly increasing due to high tourism growth, which encourages tribes of Herero- and Ovambo-speaking peoples to move to the area.

Day 5: Ongongo Waterfall Campsite, Sesfontein (331.2km)

Clients have breakfast and depart to Sesfontein, Sesfontein offers the adventurous an interesting view of a real town, not sanitised by the colonial designs of townships. It is spread out, and very relaxed. If you’re staying here, then try to rise early to watch the village come to life.

Day 6: Aba-Huab Rest Campsite, Twyfelfontein (197.5km)

You depart to Twyfelfontein the world Heritage Site with famous rock engravings on the search of the elusive desert-adapted elephants. As you continue deeper into the Damaraland, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic. You should reach your accommodation. Enjoy another breath-taking sunset with a refreshing drink.

Day 7: End of Itinerary (423.6km)

After Breakfast the guest will be on their way back to Windhoek.
