The rafting begins at the Source of the Nile at 09:30 am with a comprehensive briefing and being fitted with the special rafting gear. The first few rapids are of low grade (1, 2) to build the confidence of the participants before guiding them gradually into the more challenging grades. The gorilla trek can take from a few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest.

Buhoma Community Rest Camp is located at the entrance of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – in the Kayonza sub-county of the Kanungu District.
